This non-fiction tale is about a poor fisherman from Caye caulker, Belize, who in striving to improve his life, succeeds through personal sacrifice, to also enhance living conditions for all in his village, and additionally, for his country. Establishing the first successful fishing co-operative in the country of Belize, relieves living conditions for those around the hero in my book; but immediately wronged by those around him (upon his signature accomplishment), my father, Tony Vega Sr., begins a new journey of searching for success once more. Fate, in the form of tourism introduced to him by hippies, as well his personal Faith - blend together to bring Caye Caulker's 85 year old patriarch, a life of success in the end. This is the first-time ever rendition of the inside story of the island's # 1 fishing co-operative and how it came to be!
