After Mr. and Mrs. Potward stop Lizzie Sharp's thirteenth birthday party with their complaining, Lizzie tries using witchcraft to banish her insufferable neighbors. With the help of her brothers, practical Dan and imaginative Max, Lizzie creates a magic potion out of pepper and rabbit droppings and sprinkles it around the Potwards' garden, forming a "Circle of Doom."
