Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Dark Moon Defender

Justin is a King's Rider, accustomed to adventure and violence in service to his King. His previous mission had been travelling in the southern regions with mystics bearing magical powers and another Rider, gathering information about the growth of a rumoured rebellion. When he is assigned to a surveillance mission in sleepy Neft, he anticipates six weeks of boredom and stable work. Instead, he saves Ellynor, a young woman, from an attempted rape. She turns out to be a Novice at the Convent of the Pale Mother, whose leader, Coralinda Gisseltess, is whipping up fear and hatred of mystics in the general population. Ellynor learns that the healing abilities she has are signs of her mystical nature, and this earns her the enmity of Coralinda.
