Faerie Wars Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Faerie Wars

Henry is a boy who lives with his mom, his dad, and his annoying little sister.   After a while, Henry noticed that his mom and dad were not getting along very well.   Actually they were getting along horribly, his dad was even sleeping on the couch.   He finally confronted his dad about the problem because he thought his dad was having an affair, but it turned out that it was his mom that was having an affair, and it was with her female secretary.   This really threw Henry for a loop and caused him a lot of stress.

This whole time he has been going and helping Mr. Fogarty, an old man.   Mr. Fogarty is a very eccentric person.   One day when Henry was going into Mr. Fogarty's backyard, he found a little animal.   When he brought this animal to Mr. Fogarty, he found out that it was a Faerie.
It just so happened that this was a faerie prince from another world with a very complicated story.   Pyrgus cares very much about animals, and he was worried about the use of animals in a glue factory, so he went to investigate, he just did so in an illegal manor.   Not only that but he got mixed up with a magician called Brimstone who got mixed up with a evil prince.   He was going to sacrifice Pyrgus to free Beleth, the evil prince, but Pyrgus escaped, so now the Beleth is trying to hunt him down.   Then he went through a portal which was supposed to be very safe, but instead of taking him where he wanted to go, it took him to our planet, earth.   Now he needs a way to get home.
Mr. Fogarty just happened to have the plans for a machine that would allow him, Henry, and Pyrgus to go back to the faerie realm, except there are some problems.    To build the machine, Mr. Fogarty needs some equipment that he can only get by stealing it from Henry's school lab.   Another problem is that Henry's parents are wondering what he is doing all this time with Mr. Fogarty and they are wondering if he is having a relationship with him the way his mom had a relationship with her secretary. Henry can not tell them what is really going on so they forbid him from going to Mr. Fogarty‘s.   Henry is now in a very bad spot.   Then the book moves to Pyrgus's family when they find out that when Pyrgus went through the portal, he was injected with a chemical that will, with time, cause his head to blow up until it explodes.

Henry Atherton helps clean up the house of an old, rather eccentric man named Mr. Fogarty, who is certain that millions of people are being abducted by aliens every year and that faeries really do exist. Henry doesn't believe a word of it, until he meets Pyrgus Malvae, a faerie prince who left his own world to escape the political tension there. But the situation in the Faerie Realm is even worse than Pyrgus suspected, and Henry and Mr. Fogarty both agree to help him return to his own world to save it from the scheming Fairies of the Night and the power-hungry Prince of the Demons, Beleth. From there, it becomes a race to see if Henry, Pyrgus, Mr. Fogarty, and Pyrgus's sister, Blue, can defeat their enemies before their enemies can get to them.
