Glinda of Oz Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Glinda of Oz

Ozma and Dorothy discover that war has been declared between the Flatheads and the Skeezers in a remote corner of the Gillikan Country. The two princesses go to investigate, but become imprisoned in the domed island city of the Skeezers by Queen Coo-ee-oh, who in turn is transformed by her enemy King Su-Dic of the Flatheads into a vain and silly swan. The domed city of the Skeezers sinks below the surface of its lake, and there the heroines are trapped until Glinda and many other familiar characters, from the Wizard and Cowardly Lion to Tik-Tok and the Patchwork Girl, show up to save them. This, the 14th and final book in L. Frank Baum's series, was finished only three months before his death and published a year and a half later.
