Kyra must rescue Anson's personality which is downloaded on a computer.Their adventures take them from a Earth to exotic lunar colony and finally to a planet menaced by a dying star. Anderson's speculations of artificial intelligences, biotech and nanotech are first-rate and his lyrical prose makes his novel literally sing.
