His Last Bow is a collection of eight stories. Holmes is embroiled is some strange and challenging cases. The general themes of the book are: scaremongering, kidknapping, theft & treachery. One story relates to a silent lodger who passes coded messages, to the murder of a man in possession of secret documents.

Very good collection of stories, with title story at the end being extremely good with a suprising twist.
