The book revolves around a renowned chef, Kady Long, who stumbles upon an old wedding dress and finds herself stuck in the 'Wild West', and saving handsome Cole Jordan from a hanging. As they search for a means of her returning to her own time and her quickly-approaching wedding, Kady learns how to enjoy her own life.
