Mind Games Book Summary and Study Guide
Raina, a very dangerous criminal, is held in confinement in what looks like an insane asylum. She's wearing some sort of hairdo machine that prevents her from using her psychic powers to control others, but the therapist in charge foolishly orders her to remove the headset. Once they do so Raina kills the guards and easily escapes.
She then goes to a bar where Hal, Sarge, and Cleo are and tries to persuade Sarge to kill Hal. Evidently Raina as a grudge against Voice (for reasons we find out in a later episode)and wants to take it out on her operatives. She convinces Sarge that Hal is a betrayer. Hal sends Cleo back to the lab while she holds off Sarge.
Once Cleo leaves, Raina follows her, and Sarge returns to normal. Then they all return to the lab to find Raina waiting for them. They fight for a while, until Cleo can sneak up behind her and put a new mind control device on her head. We get hints at the end that Raina and Voice had some sort of past dealings, but nothing more concrete than that.
