She is a journalist at heart, so when she hears the story of the "Sea Wolf" she immediately creates a made up story romanticing him and has it printed in the paper. Serenity does not realize that the Sea Wolf is a real man who believes that the reporter S.S. James is compromising ia secret identity.

    Morgan Drake, aka Sea Wolf, is a man who was wronged by the British army, so he has made his life's goal to attack British ships and relieve them of not only their booty, but also the all the sailors who have been impressed to work on the ships. Morgan's work makes him into a legendary hero, but he must keep his secrets if is to continue, so he travels to Savannah to confront the reporter who is writing stories about him.
   When Morgan dicovers it is Serenity writing the stories and she has no idea who he is, he decides to leave her alone, but fate step in when one of his friends, Jake, discovers that Serenity is being tracked by a pirate hunter who would see Captain Drake dead. Jake decides to save Serenity's life by kidnapping her and holding her captive on Drake's ship until the pirate hunter is taken care of, but neither of them know how to deal with the passion they feel for one another.
    As they fight their attraction towards one another, they discover a great friendship for one another that turns to love, but the couple is so mismatched, they do not think a relationship between them would ever work. They must fight their own emotional misgivings and misunderstandings if they can ever turn their great love into a great marriage.
