Silk and Steel Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Silk and Steel

When Lucien Montaine happens upon a bedraggled young woman on the roadside, he decides to help her, even though he suspects that she is lying to him about her identity. For Lady Kathryn Grayson has just escaped from a lunatic asylum, where her uncle had her committed so that he could freely spend her fortune. It was easy for him to do so because Kathryn has a great interest in learning medicine, and some of the unsavory aspects gave her greedy uncle enough ammunition to commit her. In order to protect herself, Kathryn tricks Lucien into marriage. He's furious with her, but his desire for revenge gradually becomes a desire simply for her.
