All other attorneys have told the Halls they have no case. They are afraid to tackle a case with far reaching political connections. Marcus is moved by the Halls and accepts their case.

After acceptance, Marcus and all who help in the investigation and ensuing trial, suffer physical attacks from thugs hired by the factory owners who allegedy kidnapped and murdered Gloria. They know Marcus is close to the truth and will stop him at any cost. The attorney ends up in the hospital after such an attack but relentlessly pursues justice on Gloria's behalf.
