Her life is dramatically changed when an evil nobleman hears her and decides that he wants her. When Alyx defies him the evil nobleman retaliates buy killing her father and attempting to get her. Alyx escapes and is talent to an outlaw camp for safety. She also is forced to cut her hair and pretend she is a boy to keep her safe.
