This book is mostly about a boy called Stanley Yelnats who is sent to a juvenille detention camp because a criminal he didn't commit. All of the boys in group D have to dig holes both 5 foot wide and 5 foot deep, but will Stanley make it through the torture of Camp Green Lake?
