Absolute WORST episode: Roadrunner Dargo (D'argo) Message Board

There have been some good episodes and some bad episodes of Farscape, but the Coyote and Roadrunner - D'argo and John Crichton - episode is by far the WORST. It took roadrunner cartoons (marginally funny, at best), and made totally UNFUNNY parodies of them (or at least they wouldn't be funny to anyone older than 10 years old). While I'm not against the concept of what they tried to do--(a cartoon Scorpius could have been really funny)--the actual script they produced was totally, embarrassingly unfunny! Do the writers of the show have so little talent that they couldn't see that?

posts on 6/9/2006 7:22:16 PM I actually love this episode. It used the cartoon medium and characterisation to good effect and the fact that Road Runner cartoons are not funny has nothing to with it. This is. One of the things that I loved most about Farscape was the fact that they played with different genres and ideas and used them to show us something about the developing characters and situations. It took the predictability of Sci Fi out of the mix and left the series in a place where there were few rules, somewhat mirroring their predicament. You'd have to lack a sense of humour or be firmly within "the box" to not see some merit in this episode.
Matt Lee posts on 5/22/2005 3:11:35 PM Wouldn't say it was the worst episode. It was bizarre & interesting and it developed characters such as Jool, but ultimately I think Farscape has produced much worse such as the bland Star Trek style I, E.T. & the episode that dealt with D'argo's brother-in-law which could have been so much better but merely dwelt on Crichton sat in a sauna and some bloke with a silly forehead. Even the bit with Rygel against the Charrid could have been so much better. A wasted opportunity.

BART posts on 3/1/2005 7:54:09 AM You're beginning to sound like "Comic shop owner".. Worst Episode Ever! It was odd.. but it was funny. IMHO I thought it was "one" of the "better" episodes (I don't like BEST, WORST etc.. they're so final!) But hey.. each to their own. you didn't like it.. that's cool!
