This is what Bruce posted on his web page about the The Last Hunt! Not what we where are thinking of, but hey its another book to continue the good story :).
Book 3 is Finished!
(But the series is not!)
Here's the scoop:
I've been saying for some time now that THE LAST HUNT was going to be a long book. The thing is, it kept getting longer and longer . . . and longer! About two months ago I realized that it was so long it was out of proportion with the first two books (I wasn't all the way through yet, but it seemed likely I was heading toward the 600 page mark.) I also realized that there was a natural dividing point in the middle. After discussing it with my first readers, and then my editor, I decided to cut the book in half.
SO . . . Book 3 is now called DARK WHISPERS. (At least, that's the working title.) There will be a Book 4, and that one will be called THE LAST HUNT.
For those of you worried (quite reasonably) about how long it might take me to write that one, the good news is that it's already half finished!

I've been waiting for the last hunt to come out since 5 grade. (that was almost 7 years ago) I hope it comes out soon. I haven't read the first 2 books in so long, i completly forgot the entire plot. I have to go reread them (shouldn't take too long)

Bruce says that he is coming out with the Last Hunt in November or something.
I dont no if its true.
I feel so bad for the Dimblethum. WHY DID HE LEAVE?
I no from "insight" that he is coming back. Also you no how you have to do a Great thing to get an amulet, well what did Ivy- or I mean "Flickerfoot" do to get it?

Ok im over joyed that he is making a new book to finnish the Unicorn Chronicles but for some reson in the last few days ive had a hard time getting into his web page to see when he will post the finnish date of this book. Dose anyone else have this problem getting into his web page? If not then how can I get back to his web page? Please Help!

Just heard about the last book coming out in the series. I am soo excited! Can you give us any sneak peeks to the story? Or tell us when the book is coming out. I heard Bruce Coville wrote 396 pages already, that is longer than the Song of the Wanderer.

Bruce probably hasn't even started the Last Hunt yet. How about if we talk about his other books instead of bemoaning the fact that the Last Hunt isn't out.

Seriously, I've been waiting VERY impatiently for the Last Hunt for over-lemme see,- 5 YEARS?!?!?!?!?!?!? Please finish it? Pretty please with a cherry on top?
