Castle in the Sky Message Board

Shira posts on 9/17/2005 11:07:02 PM Good to know you're not dead. You're still in school? So am I. Howl's Moving Castle sounds fascinating...but why does it mention a 'Moving Castle'? Does the man/old woman have to navigate his way through it to find the Howl? That would be interesting...
Adam posts on 9/17/2005 1:12:36 PM Yeah, I'm still alive. Just been busy with schoolwork lately. Howl's Moving castle is about a young woman who is turned into an old woman and seeks help from the wizard Howl, who is under a curse that causes him to turn into a monster.,
Shira posts on 9/11/2005 8:35:55 PM You alive? If you're not don't answer. What is Howl's Moving Castle about? I've seen some adverts for it, but they were strange, I didn't really understand.

Shira posts on 8/10/2005 12:08:39 AM If you get hold of the DVD, make sure to watch the Geneon previews for other anime movies coming up, they're the best part. :]
Adam posts on 8/9/2005 3:25:07 PM No, I haven't seen Appleseed yet, but I think I might look into it.
Shira posts on 8/8/2005 10:18:42 PM Have you seen the movie Appleseed yet? It was an excellent movie, but the ending was a little difficult to understand. I still don't get it...but the music was really good and the characters all had really intersting pasts, which was way cool...
Shira posts on 7/25/2005 10:43:19 PM It's good to know someone agrees with me. : ] So you saw Princess Mononoke? I loved that...it was pretty scary the first time I saw it, though. That boar was creepy.
Adam posts on 7/21/2005 1:28:43 PM Yeah, it would be nice to see at least a minor amount of snogging in Miyazaki's films.
Shira posts on 7/18/2005 10:16:58 PM I haven't been here in a while, either, obviously, but i'm glad you like Castle in the Sky. I've never seen "Nausicaa" or Howl's Moving Castle (but I heard it was great) although I did watch Princess Mononoke and LOVED IT; my favorite was Dola. :) You're right about Muska not being a very in depth character, but I think the movie was more based around just watching to watch and have a good time, not get an hour and a half in depth look at a criminal's mind. Sorry about calling Miyazaki a sissy---it's sort of an inside joke with my friends because in not one of the Miyazaki movies we've seen did any of the characters do any snogging, and we're all about the snogging---which is really pathetic.
Adam posts on 7/10/2005 7:34:32 PM Sorry about not having been here in a while. I saw 'Castle in the Sky' recently (Subtitled, since I thought the dubbed voice actors were miscast) and liked it, but not as much as I liked 'Nausicaa', 'Princess Mononoke', and 'Howl's Moving Castle'. And please don't call Miyazaki a sissy. He's my idol. Anyhow, my favourite character in 'Castle in the Sky' was Muska. He was such a great villain, but unfortunately he was simply the 'bad guy', whereas Miyazaki's other villains had far more character and depth.
