I couldn't believe that this film has not stirred up more hostile reactions. Despite not being part of the PC brigade myself, I found myself incredulous at the 'humor' injected into what was attempting to be a serious movie. Just as one gets the point that life is appallingly contradictory, along come little slapstick scenarios, rendering the whole movie ridiculous and insulting.
Perhaps it's a good thing to be able to laugh at aspects of the Holocaust? Not in this way, I think. The final scene, pushing the pram through the rubble... no wonder the baby had to vent its opinion of the whole scene.
