Earlene Fowler Message Board

L posts on 8/21/2007 8:45:00 PM I haven't read that one yet. I look forward to it.
J posts on 11/19/2006 3:23:44 AM Hi Bonnie, Delectable Mountain is my favorite, hands down. I just love the beginning, Earlene Fowler is able to describe sensory experiences with words to the point, that as readers we can see, hear, feel and smell the experience through her words. Talent, real talent. A real heartbreaker of an ending. I didn't see it coming, I just sobbed. I had barely recovered and I get to the part of Gabe in the shower crying and Benni outside the door wanting to ease his pain. Powerful emotions, much like the ending of Sunshine and Shadow. That surprise connection between Gabe and Jack, I just had to stop reading and absorb the wonder of it. When I begin to think about the series and the talent of Earlene Fowler it is difficult to contain my praise. What other authors or series do you like and/or read?
Bonnie posts on 11/18/2006 12:37:06 AM J, yes I have read all of Earlene Fowler's books (including the newest - non Benni book). My favorites include Mariner's Compass and Delectable Mountain. I think Earlene really brings the characters to life. Do you have a favorite?

J posts on 11/17/2006 9:44:50 AM Bonnie, Hi! Have you read all of the Benni Harper series? If so do you have a favorite? I post messages on 2 other author sites and I always encourage the readers to try the Benni Harper Series. Recorded Books has, I believe, 3 titles on audio and the narrator is excellent. Happy reading.
Bonnie posts on 10/31/2006 6:50:11 PM Earlene Fowler's Benni Harper series is a fantastic read. Anyone that likes a "cozy mystery" will enjoy these books.
posts on 10/10/2006 2:15:50 PM So sad that no one else has discovered the talents of Earleen Fowler. Give the Benni Harper series a glance or two and I think you will find a series that can make you smile, ponder and wipe a tear or two once in awhile.
