Steve Jones posts on 8/9/2005 11:33:15 PM Does anyone know the short story / book, where a barman entertains a monk like alien on Earth. Knowledge / language pills are involved and the barman develops power to keep knowledge. I had a copy some while ago and lost/lent it and can't remember which book it's in or what its titled. Please help.

patrickmcginley@sbcglobal.net posts on 6/19/2005 1:40:43 PM I no longer have a copy of "A world out of Time." Does anyone know the language (Scandinavian?), That Niven got the term "Gorn" from? She was the nasty witch-like woman he runs into back on Earth after his 3 million year voyage. I think I have the correct spelling. I want to compare Ann Coulter to the "Gorn."
