u can get the movie or book at your local library but i am 14 and we watched it in our math class i will give it a 10 on my scale the best movie i have ever seen this movie kicks ass

omg yes! stand by me has to be like the best movie EVER!! i just adore River Phoenix (Chris Chambers) and it is so sad that he dies in the film and of course he unfortunately did in reality. R.I.P River! Stand By Me is a real coming of age story and shows how the 4 boys learn things about themselves and about the world that they never knew beforehand. Rob Reiner deserves such a credit for creating such a touching and enjoyable movie which should be treasured forever! xxx
