I watched this movie for the first time recently and was stuck by the parallels to the current war in Iraq. Principally, that the President sends in troops to depose an evil Arab ruler and takes over the government over the opposition of France and Germany.
Teddy Roosevelt's foreign policy is that other nations will never like us because we are arrogant but they will fear and respect us.
