Three musicians in early 90's LA (Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi, Adam Sandler) take a radio station hostage in order to get their demo played on the air. This movie hilariously skewers the image conscious nature of rock music while at the same time pointing out the self delusional nature of wannabe rock stars. Joe Mantegna makes a strong showing as the sympathetic DJ and Ernie Hudson is the policeman involved in negotiations (playing a less jaded cop than he played in the Crow). Chris Farley also shows up in a small role as a policeman tasked with crowd control and searching through the bars on the Strip for Chazz's (Fraser) girlfriend.
