Ellen Pompeo plays an art agent. She represents collectors at auctions and helps them find the pieces they want. She represents Victor Boyd (Ed Lauter), who has just had a priceless painting stolen. Her husband, played by William Baldwin, is a New York cop, and isn't exactly happy about her going, but stays behind to watch their daughter--they are separated.

In Spain she hooks up with Daniel (Abel Folk), a man she went to art school with, and now has a job similar to her own. He knows the local dealers and feels he can help. When she overstays, her husband and daughter show up to try to get her to come home. But she feels she has to stay to try to find out who did it, especially when two other paintings get stolen.

Eventually she figures it out, but not before finding out that everyone she trusted is not what they seem. And her whole family is in danger before it will all be over.
