While his back is out of whack, Ray is forced to spend time at home. He hangs out with the apartment super, who complains a lot about his teenaged daughter. Ray also agrees to advise two fledgling filmmakers living a few doors away as to how to make their script, about two gangsters, more realistic. When the super is bludgeoned in a vicious attack that echoes the neighbors' script, Ray devotes himself to solving the crime. If he can get the perps, he can help the super and, at the same time, restore his tarnished reputation.
