This is a horrible and disturbing movie that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. It revolves around a psychopathic doctor who abducts young women and then tortures and kills them--online, while web surfers watch. The only problem is, once viewers go to the website, they die within a few days, and what they die from just happens to be their greatest fear--whatever that might be. For example, a man who is terrified of dying in a car accident does just that. A women who is extremely arachnophobic is driven to jump out of her high-rise window (to her death) to escape an invasion of bugs.
The two "good guys" of this movie, both involved in law enforcement/public safety, end up figuring out what's happening, however, they have to visit the website in order to find the doctor, who is holding a woman hostage, preparing to torture and kill her online.

Detective Mike Reilly and Terry Huston inspect the mysterious deaths of 4 New Yorkers. The only thing they had in common was a visit to feardotcom.com. They also all died exactly 48 hours to the minute since they accessed the site. Mike and Terry view the site and have 48 hours to solve the mystery before they die of their worst fears.
