George of the Jungle, left an orphan in the African jungle when he survives a plane crash there as a child, is raised to be a sort of Tarzan-like figure by an intelligent talking ape. When he rescues Ursula, who is vacationing there, she takes him back to her parents in San Francisco, where she lives. She eventually realizes that she wants to marry him. However, her scheming vicious high-class mother, who already has plans for her, stands in the way of their marriage, when George receives the news that his ape mentor has been kidnapped by Lyle's thugs, whereupon he goes back to rescue the ape, Ursula follows after him, and they get married, with Ursula's parents' approval.
