A female high school student named Terry learns she did not get an internship job at a Chicago newspaper because she was a girl. Because all she ever wanted to be was a writer, she decides to cut her hair and change her style of clothes and transfer to another high school posing as a boy.

Terry runs into a problem that her boyfriend is not very happy with this change. As she attends her new high school, so befriends a quite nerdy guy. As she tries to hook him up with the popular girl in school, she decides she no longer wants to be with her boyfriend and falls in love with her new friend.
She tries to make her decision of love as she attempts to convince everybody she is really a he.

Terry (Joyce Hyser) is a beautiful, intelligent teenage girl who wants to be taken seriously by men. She feels that she loses a journalism competition because she is a female. To prove it, she goes undercover as a teenage boy at another school. Terry finds out what its like to be a guy. But then she starts to fall for her new best friend, who thinks she really is a guy. This movie is funny and touching.
