Korea, 1950, Sept. 6th. Robert Ryan and his platoon are isolated in enemy's territory. They must retreat in order to join their lines back. On their way, they cross the road of Aldo Ray, a sergeant and his catatonic colonel. The enemy is invisible and kills the soldiers one by one.
