Milo and Otis is a cute, live action family film centering around the adventures of a kitten named Milo and a puppy named Otis.   Born on a farm, Milo and Otis meet each other as well as some of the other residents of the farm. Milo, headstrong and disobedient, decides to see the rest of the world around him and gets swept away in box floating down a stream. The loyal Otis chases after him but cannot catch up. While the two friends are separated, each learns about survival and finding his place in the world. The main quality that sets this film apart is its ability to keep what could be the sadder parts of the movie light and engaging. Almost immediately, something good happens. Narrated by the recognizable voice of the late Dudley Moore, the voice characterizations are entertaining without being overwhelming. All in all a good family movie.
