When the senator proposes a bill that interferes with the businessmen's scam, he quickly learns how politics really work.
Another senator, his supposed friend, who happens to be in cahoots with the businessmen, gets together with the businessmen and frames the young senator for an illegal land development sale.
The young senator first starts to run, but decides to stay and fight.He gains control of the senate floor and speaks for twenty-three hours, wearing the other senators down, until he finally passes out and collapses.
After listening to the courageous speech all night and watching the young man collapse, the senator that framed him finally confesses to framing him and to the his and the businessmen's scam.
