Napoleon Dynamite is a misfit student at his high school in small town in the United States. He goes by his own, wacky rules and has some very interesting stories to tell, like about how he saved his cousins in Alaska. He lives with his brother, Kip, and his grandmother. When his grandmother injures herself his arrogant Uncle Rico comes to look after Napoleon and his brother.

Also along for the ride is the new foreign student, Pedro, and Deb. While Rico and Kip attempt to make enough money to buy a time machine, Napoleon, Pedro and Deb are campagining for Pedro to be elected for class president against the ever popular Dawn.

The story follows Napoleon Dynamite and his, what can seem pointless meandering tale, helping his new found friend Pedro become student body president, drawing mythical pictures, and getting undermined by his Uncle Trio.
