The lawyer Antek Zyro has died 4 days ago. Now, invisible to everyone, he's observing how his absence is affecting his relatives's life. His wife Ursula will discover in the weeks that follow that she can't bear the disappearance of her husband and begins to feel Antek's presence around her. A second plot involves the efforts of the old lawyer Labrador to save Darek from prison. Darek, who was arrested during a strike, was one of Antek's clients and waits for his trial. Labrador learns that this case will be his last one as the Polish Parliament has just voted a law that forbids lawyer to practise after the age of 65.
