OUT OF THE PAST is a movie directed by Jacques Tourneur in 1947. Robert Mitchum, a small-town gas pumper, was once a private detective hired by Kirk Douglas, a wealthy gambler, to find his girl who just shot him and ran away with US $ 40'000. Mitchum found her in Acapulco, fell in love with her and failed to do his job. One of the best film noirs ever produced.
