Rookie of the Year Movie Review Summary

Actors: Thomas Ian Nichols, Gary Busey, John Candy

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Rookie of the Year

In this movie, a 12-year-old kid throws a 100-mph fastball and makes the Chicago Cubs. He also has an older pitcher on the Cubs to help him out. There are excellent cameos by Bobby Bonilla and Barry Bonds, hilarious screw-ups by the pitching coach, played by Daniel Stern, and brilliant play-by-play supplied by the late John Candy (Uncle Buck). The kid eventually becomes a hero by helping the Cubs win the World Series!
