In this version of A Christmas Carol, Bill Murray is Francis Xavier Cross, a T.V. producer/executive who is selfish, arrogant and lonely. While overseeing a T.V. production of A Christmas Carol, he is visited by three ghosts who give him glimpses into the past, present and future. Slowly he is enlightened about the current empty state of his life and comes to realize that he has to make himself a better person and win back a woman whom he gave up during his climb to wealth and power.
