Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Cat in the Hat

Two kids are left at home when their mom (Kelly Preston) has to work all day. The boy (Spencer Breslin) is a rule breaker who never listens to his mother and is always messing up the house. The girl (Dakota Fanning) is a brown nosing control freak that never gets in trouble. But when their mom leaves them for the day a six foot cat in a hat shows up to show them how to have fun. This hip, often hilarious feast for the eyes is a perfect family film for the holidays. Mike Myers antics are hilarious but he has a few mannerisms, such as a weezing laugh, that he does a few too many times. I've heard some parents worry about this movie being offensive and some of the jokes being inappropriate for children. There are only a few of those and they'll fly right over young ones head and the rest of the movie will have everyone cracking up.
