Timothy Arthur plays Harris Johanis, the director of Johanis Funeral Homes located in an average US City. From the opening moments of the film, it is known that he keeps the corpse of his late wife Beverly (Melissa Green) hidden on a bed in his office. Through his flashbacks we find out that she accidentally killed herself with a rifle he was cleaning in their house, blowing off the side of her face. While relaxing in his business one day, he has a dream in which Beverly rises from her bed and beckons him to make love to her again. As soon as he awakens, he decides that even though his wife is dead, he wants to make love to her one more time. At the same time, due to a scheduling error, two customers enter his business: Eric Bartlett (Wilbur Scott), who is a detective; and Sandra Sibley (April Knapp), a woman seeking information on future burial plans. Eric, unaware that Harris is making love to the dead in his office, opens the office door to find the rotting corpse of the owner's wife with Harris on top. Finding out that his necrophiliac secret is out, Harris is pretty angry as he grabs his meat cleaver and goes after the two customers.
