Annie just graduated from college but has no certain career path. While at a park in NYC, she saves a boy, Grayer, from being run over. The grateful mother, Mrs. X, offers her a job as a nanny and she accepts, albeit telling her family that she is now working at a bank. When she lives with her new employees, she is introduced to their affluent and cold lifestyle. She pities Grayer, a precocious boy, because both his parents never spend time with him. As Annie learns the ins and outs of becoming an Upper East Side nanny, she encounters Hayden, the cute Harvard boy who lives in the same condominium and starts to date him but with reservations since they both come from very different social backgrounds. Annie feels the pressures of being under the employ of Mrs. X, who is domineering and sometimes irrational. When Annie learns that she installed a nanny cam, she mouths off on her and tells her what she really thinks of Mrs. X. Thinking that the video contains video of Annie maltreating Grayer, Mrs. X screens the film to a council of society moms, and is utterly humiliated when they watch the tape. Annie leaves her job, and months later, receives a letter from Mrs. X admitting the error of her ways, and that Grayer is doing much better.

Best part of story, including ending:
I love watching movies about New Yorkers, specially the elite Upper East Siders who live very pampered lives.
Best scene in story:
The museum intro about moms around the world taking care of their offspring.
Opinion about the main character:
I like Annie's spunk, and her determination to just get through the day after suffering from Mrs. X's demands.
