Julius (Schwarzenegger) and Vincent (Devito) were the product of an experiment with genetics. An island of philosophers was trying to make the perfect human being (Schwarzenegger) but the zygote split unexpectedly and whatever was left over became his twin. Vincent was given up for adoption and has grown into a petty thief and is about to be killed by the loan shark he owes money to. Julius sets out to find his twin and after rescuing him from danger they set out to find their long lost mother.
