Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Guyver

Sean Barker is an average college student who practice martial arts in his spare time. But after learning about his girlfriend's father, Dr.Segwa, being murdered under mysterious circumstances Barker heads over to the site to do a little investigating. What Sean nor his girlfriend knew about the doc was that he had stolen an extremely valuable and powerful item known only as the unit. While looking over the crime scene Sean spot the unit and takes it. On his way home Sean run into a gang and gets beat up pretty badly, and during the scuffle the unit fuses with him and he becomes "The Guyver," a mechanized suit of armor that can cause all sorts of destruction.

But Sean isn't the only one who has a grand plan for The Unit. The Kronos corporation and the head of it would love nothing more than to get their hands on Sean. And since they can all transform into alien hybrids they stand a good chance of getting it off of the metal hero.
Best part of story, including ending: It's was a cheesy action 90's flick based on an old Japanese Manga. The story was serviceable just don't expect any grand unifying themes or something with even the smallest amount of depth.

Best scene in story: When Sean first transforms into "The Guyver." It's a cool surreal scene that is hard to unsee once you have watched the film.

Opinion about the main character: He may as well stay in the armor the whole film. He is largely uncharismatic and is not memorable in the least bit. He might as well be a background object.
