Friends With Benefits - Nannies 2 Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Friends With Benefits - Nannies 2

This story is about three young women who are nannies to their wealthy employers children. In the story we meet Lydia, Kiley and Esme the nannies all living in Bel Air. Lydia was raised in the states until she was 10 by very wealthy parents until her father, a doctor and mother decided they were moving to the Amazon. She has convinced her parents to let her move in with her aunt and her girlfriend to care for her two young cousins, though she is trying to start up her own business as a contractor for nannies and clients. Kiley came from a small town in Wisconsin to take part in a new program called Platinums Nannies, but when the show is canceled she goes to work for the famous rock star Platinum to care for her young children. Esme works for the famous Stephen and Diane Goldhagen caring for their two adopted daughters. Her parents work for the Goldhagen's as well as a maid and caretaker and Esme was chosen to be the twins nanny because she is bilingual and the girls only speak Spanish. Lydia who loves money and all that it can buy her. She constantly borrows clothes from her Aunt Kats closet and diviates from Anya, her aunts girlfriend, schedule for her cousins even though she risks being sent back to the Amazon. Though she didn't like it there we find that she has gained much wisdom and strength from her years growing up there and she uses these strengths not only to snag her man but to make important breakthroughs with Martina and Jimmy since they seem so unhappy. Kiley has learned to recognize when her boss has had to much to drink or too much pot and has a grading scale for how dangerous she is and when to keep the kids away from her. Though they are difficult to handle she comes to care about them and their well being and is determined to stay in LA with her new friends and away from her neurotic mother and her boring life before becoming a nanny. Esme who grew up in the hood of LA really enjoys the sweet little girls she takes care of and loves her new life living in the guesthouse on the Goldhagens property. Something else she really loves is Jonathan, Stephens eighteen year old son who has been sneaking down to the guest house nightly to be with Esme. Though she doesn't want to lose her job and she has a boyfriend from home, she can't give Jonathan up the only problem is he wants to keep her a secret. Their days are filled with kids and their care and dealing with their at times, cantankerous employers and their nights full of parties and glamor. At one of the biggest bashes of the year Lydia lands her dream guy and Kiley recieves an urgent call from her young charges. Esme finally confronts Jonathan and he tells her how he feels. Kiley loses her job and Lydia tries to figure out how she can stay in LA.

Best part of story, including ending: I enjoyed all the different aspects of this boo the different plots and characters didn't leave any time to get bored.

Best scene in story: My favorite scene is when Lydia takes Martina to a belly dancing class and for the first time the little girl feels comfortable in her own skin and even makes a new friend.

Opinion about the main character: Well Technically there are three main characters so what I like most about Lydia is her willingness to do whatever it takes to see her cousins happy. What I like most about Kiley is her willingness to stick with a job she really isn't happy in and what I like most about Esme is her love and concern for her parents.
