this book is an option for my summer reading and i am gald i decided to choose this as one book option. i love books about drama and obstacles and racial issues lol if that makes any sense so.....i will definitley read this book and hop others will enjoy it!!

Sharon i go to Okeechobee Freshmen Campus and right now we're reading your book "Romiette and Julio" and its very exciting we read it everyday until the end of the year, and i'm in Journalism class and right we're edtoring the memorybook, writing for the newspaper and i did a book review and my teacher said it was great,and I really compare myself somewhat like you because i love writting and reading long chapter books especially yours.But what i was going to ask is what idea gave you to write a book ?about a serious conflict that is going on right now all around the world with interracial dating right back

Theses are good books that most teens can relate to. Authors like Sharon Mills Draper helps teens to understand people know what we are experiencing in todays life.
