Local Girls Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Local Girls

Gretal Samuelson is a young woman growing up to witness the breakup of her parents' marriage, her cousin Margot's search for love, the deterioration of a brother who passes up Harvard for a job at the local grocery store, and emotional explosions that shatter the suburban quiet. This book was a quick read, however it lacked real substance for me. I finished the book wanting more, more of a conclusion, more emotion, and frankly more of a book. I think however that this book may be a better read for a teenage audience.
