After "moi" sets Charlie up with Julie, Zach breaks up with her after psychotically yelling at her. This causes "Moi" to have a breakdown, and Julie whisks her off to the Ritz in France to recover. While there, Charlie comes by and realizes that Julie is cheating on him, so he breaks it off with her-unbenownst to "Moi" who thinks they are still together because Julie tells her that they are.
After "Moi", Julie, and Charlie get back to the city, "Moi's apartment gets robbed. She goes to a hotel to spend the night, but can't get into her room. She discovers that Charlie is staying in the room too, and spends the night with him. Afterwards, she feels guilty but realizes she likes Charlie. Julie finds out, of course, and is furious. Charlie then leaves the country for reasons unknown.
"Moi" then goes to England, where her parents live, for her dad's 50th birthday. Julie, having decided to forgive her, goes too. While trying to get to her parents house, "Moi" ends up in a neighboring home, where a very wealthy, titled family lives. "Moi" realizes that Charlie Dunlain actually lives there, and he the boy her mother always wanted her to get together with, because he was a member of the rich family next door. "Moi" and Charlie get together and live happily ever after, and Julie and "Moi" remain friends.
