The Last Gate Series chronicles the history and political intrigues in an alternate world, where the actions of a selfish ruler impacts over one hundred generations of his people and causes a special race of beings to die off to near extinction.

In Book One-Betnoni's Prophecy: Cobo is Ver dala Ven, a magical being who is thought to be the last of his kind. A forbidden romance with the monarch he served resulted in a child that he could not claim. Unable to endure the heartbreak of watching another man raise his child and love his woman, he chose to run away from his responsibilities as Ver dala Ven and go into exile. Eighteen years later Cobo is called home by a vision that outlines his true destiny. He must reconcile with his past mistakes and a son he never knew in order to usher in the first sign of an ancient prophecy promising the return of the singing spirit guide that once empowered his race.
