world. He is helping others who invest in his hedge fund to become millionaires as well. The couple has a pimped out mini-mansion and everything they want, except for a baby. Egypt's womb won't carry a pregnancy to full-term. When Egypt asks her best friend Tammy to serve as surrogate she balks. Tammy and her husband Tim have had money long before Egypt and Rashad. Tammy is a bit self-centered. Now that Egypt has money too, Tammy is jealous.

Egypt takes her sister Isis in after she attempts suicide for the third time. Isis has many issues one is her ex- boyfriend Tony, the second is Rashad, her sister's husband. Rashad and Isis were lovers first. When Isis fell for Tony, Rashad found out and the two came to blows over Isis. Isis refused to stop seeing Tony and it broke Rashad's heart. Turning to Egypt for consolation the two fell in love. It was a big shock to Isis when Egypt offered her refuge in their home. Isis continued to contact Tony despite the fact that he refused to leave his wife Monica and their children.

When Rashad and Egypt go out of town for a weekend leaving Isis at home she invites Tony for the weekend. She has no idea that they will return home early and find Tony in Rashad's robe and Isis in Egypt's.

Isis has disrespected her sister's home and is told to be out by the following Friday. With no where to go she begs Egypt to let her stay Egypt isn't having it. Egypt tells her to let Tony find her a place to stay.

With Egypt's womb barren and Tammy unwilling to help, shes decides to let Isis stay , if she will carry their baby. Isis sees it as a way to get Rashad back as her man. This has to work since Tony cursed tried to convince him to have a baby with her and was turned down flat. Content to be the other woman, she could not believe he wouldn't at least have a baby with her.

Loraine is Egypt's boss and a fantastic PR person to the stars. Her best friend Jerome is a fine as wine, a singer and very gay, women throw themselves at him.. He is always upfront with men and women and dates men of all races. He and Loraine used to date. He likes turning married men out who act straight, seeing it as a challenge. Jerome is in love with Big Poppa. All the other he plays around with fall for Jerome but he keeps things strictly sexual. Ron falls hard for Jerome and comes out to his wife because he wants to be with Jerome. He is wiling to leave his wife for Jerome and risk everything he has worked to build.

Despite being a PR wonder, Loraine has her own problems at home. Her husband Leon is struggling with the fact that his wife makes more money than he does. His start up businesses fail one after another. Besides, he's a cheater and an angry drunk. Leon calls Loraine out of her name, and she slaps him. He returns the favor.

When she finds underwear that doesn't belong to her in the sofa cushion he denies knowing about it.
he regulates him to the guest room. He suggests they enter counseling together something he has never agreed to in the past.
The counseling is working. Right down to the suggestion that Loraine and Leon do some light petting, without going all the way, when time is right. Loraine and Leon are jonesing for each other badly when Loraine goes lingerie shopping. When she returns home a strange car and woman are in front her house. The woman introduces herself and shares that she and Leon have been involved for five years, that he is her man and that its time Loraine knew. The underwear in the sofa belonged to her, she'd left her mark for Loraine to find. She let Loraine know that she was in love with Leon.

Fed up, Loraine lets Jerome hook her up with a man who has loved her since she was a school girl. Michael has always wanted a shot with Loraine. He gets his chance, they reconnect hitting it off. Turns out Jerome paid the woman who confronted Loraine to say she was involved with Leon. It was his way of “looking out” for his bestie Loraine. When Loraine finds Jerome is behind much of her pain she abruptly ends their friendship.

Isis has the baby but when he turns out to have green eyes she assumes the baby is Tony's and not Rashad's. After much drama she and the baby are discharged, her surrogacy commitment in shambles. Monica divorces Tony, and he and Isis move away from Virginia to raise their son.

Devastated over the loss of what they thought was their son, Egypt and Rashad have Loraine to thank for hooking them up with an adoption agency and finally have a child ( a little girl) whom they fall in love with.
Best part of story, including ending: I liked the fast pace of this story, there was never a dull moment.

Best scene in story: My favorite scene was when Loraine had to admit she was wrong about accusing Leon of cheating.

Opinion about the main character: I disliked the fact that Egypt gave Isis a million chances to mess up by disrespecting her marriage and home.
