Cold Hit Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Cold Hit

This is another in Linda Fairstein's Alexandra Cooper, ADA mystery series. The setting is generally in NYC with a short interlude at Alex's Martha's Vineyard house. A young woman's body (the young woman is an art dealer) was found in the water. She'd been raped and murdered. Then, a suspect was found run over by a train. Another suspect calls Alex to have her and her friend, Special Victims Unit Detective Mercer Wallace, meet her (the suspect) at a gallery opening. It's a trap. The gallery's secretary is shot and so is Detective Wallace, though Wallace lives. The DA has police escort Alex around, but that doesn't stop trouble from finding her. The subplot revolves around an art gallery heist and some stolen paintings that were seen by some of the folks in the art world, but never recovered because the young woman and the main bad guy get killed.
