Martin Dysart, a child psychiatrist in England, dreams of going to Greece and living a passionate life. When a disturbed teenager who has blinded six horses with a metal spike is brought to him for therapy, Dysart both solves the mystery of the crime and learns about fervent passion and worship from the boy. Dysart can take away Alan's pain and make him "normal," but what is the price? Is the psychiatrist blinding horses too? This marvelous play starred Alec McCowan, Anthony Hopkins and Anthony Perkins in various stage productions, and Richard Burton in a film version.
