Teacher Diane Rivers is setting sail on a fifteen day cruise to the Caribbean in order to mend fences with Charles Randol, the man she loves. Charles, who hasn't seen Diane in over a year and a half, is embittered towards her due to his belief that she toyed with his emotions during their relationship.   Charles feels Diane is a heartless player. When Charles spots Diane across a crowded room on his getaway cruise, he is totally floored by her presence. Charles in on the cruise in order to recuperate from wounds he sustained in a terrible car crash. Diane realized when Charles nearly lost his life how dearly she loved him. Diane and Charles manage to come together on the cruise and end up getting married in a romantic ceremony. But when Charles and Diane head home after the cruise, Charles realizes that Diane's childhood issues do not allow her to trust, not even the man she married.
